Moneta Coin listed on Slip44 coins and adds fixed address prefix

The Moneta Coin development team is delighted to announce that the Moneta Coin has been added to the official list of slip44 coins — a global standard.

Upon listing, the Moneta Coin has been given serial number 707 and the MCOIN ticker. For comparison, Bitcoin has a serial number of 0, and BTC is the official ticker. Ethereum holds serial number 60 and a ticker of ETH. The development team has also fixed the prefix for the Moneta Coin addresses according to the bech32 standard (https://github.com/satoshilabs/slips/blob/master/slip-0173.md). For comparison, Bitcoin holds the bc prefix. The fixing means that all addresses in the Moneta Coin network will have the right to start with the “moneta” prefix. For example — moneta1eqjw22m54yjt26f97sjj7qlcu9x9445yyadzfj.

The serial numbers and prefixes are allocated specifically for the Moneta Coin project and cannot be transferred to third parties without the team’s consent. All global blockchain projects should take this fact into account, and wallets wishing to add our coin to their application should only indicate such data for proper listing.
