Moneta Today app is now available for iOS
We are happy to announce that today the Moneta Today mobile app has become available for iOS devices (download on the App Store). Apple normally requires more documents and checks the uploaded app thoroughly. We have passed all the verifications and are ready to provide iPhone and iPad users with access to the world’s first cross-chain ecosystem of everyday applications.
In this release, we have focused on interaction with Moneta Coin, the core of the ecosystem. You can create a new wallet right now. Access to the wallet can only be gained by a mnemonic phrase. If you have previously generated a wallet (in the Android application for example), you can enter your mnemonic phrase and get access to your wallet.
Make sure to copy and save your mnemonic phrase. Moneta Today is a non-custodial wallet. We do not store your mnemonic phrases and, therefore, do not have access to your wallets. As a result, we will not be able to help you regain access to your wallet if you lose your mnemonic phrase.
To make sure that all users can save the mnemophrase, we introduced a mandatory check. After creating a wallet, you will be asked to enter the mnemophrase again. We have tried to make it most convenient for you. This is one more step to secure your wallets, which we do not have access to.
You can send and receive MCOIN on the Moneta Coin blockchain network. Our network uses a fast-finality mechanism that enables you to avoid waiting for a long time to make sure your transaction has gone online. It takes just 5 seconds — and MCOINs get transferred from one wallet to another — it is fast and convenient indeed.
The fee for a transfer is 1 MCOIN, a little bit more than 0.1 USDT. The fee on the Moneta Coin network is 12 times lower than on the Tron (TRX) network!
You can see the total amount of MCOIN on the network. Please note that after each transaction, the total supply is reduced by 0.5 MCOIN. This is the burning mechanism that the blockchain protocol is based on — half of the fee gets burned.
